Lauren and Phillip met on Hinge and bonded over a corny joke about philosophers. After a couple of dates Phillip asked Lauren to officially be his girlfriend while watching one of their favorite movie trilogies, the Lord of the Rings.

Lauren said yes and over the next year, they grew closer together until they moved in together in early 2024. Moving in presented a number of challenges (mostly around finding places to put her books) but through the year, their love deepened and Phillip decided to propose.

While re-watching the Lord of the Rings (a yearly tradition), Phillip proposed and Lauren, once again, said yes! Now they are excited to get married and share their joy with you!
